Fidelity Inspection and Consulting Services, Inc. (FICS) offers comprehensive inspection services with one point of contact for inspection orders, our services include the following:

  • General Home Inspections - The purchase of a home generally represents the largest single investment you will make during your lifetime. In order to help protect your investment, the performance of a careful and complete inspection of the premises is very important. Our report includes recommendations and costs to cure. We follow the standards, guidelines and practices established by American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI).

  • Wood Destroying Insect Inspections - Wood destroying insects can cause extensive damage within a structure. An aggressive, thorough visual inspection of all open and readily accessible areas is performed and follows the guidelines recommended by the National Pest Management Association http://www.pestworld.org and HUD.

  • Radon is a dangerous radioactive gas that is odorless, tasteless, and colorless. It is the second leading cause of lung cancer in America. The EPA has reported elevated radon levels in every zip code across the country.

  • Septic System Inspection – Our septic system inspections conform to the requirements and suggestions of the PA Septage Management Association (http://www.psma.net/), we conform to their requirements and suggestions. We can fully evaluate the components of the septic tank and the leach field, and provide repair recommendations when necessary.

  • Synthetic Stucco Inspections – (EIFS [1] Moisture testing/installation Surveys) A great number of homes are being built today with exterior stucco cladding systems that offer above average thermal value and curb appeal. These works of art are the result of advanced insulation manufacturing processes and polymer chemistry research coupled with a spark of creativity and craftsmanship. The completed installation is known as Synthetic Stucco or EIFS. EIFS is an acronym for Exterior Insulation and Finish System. Additional information can be found at: http://www.eima.com/.

  • Lead Paint Inspections - Lead-based paint is considered a major health issue for pre-1978 housing, with the major risk to children and infants. The lead-based paint risk assessment inspection uses a state licensed inspector. This inspector will use a specialized XRF (X-ray fluorescence) analyzer instrument that can measure lead content in many layers of paint, even hidden layers. A professional and accurate report is prepared after each inspection and is submitted with recommendations. In addition, EPA Federal regulations-Renovations, Repairs and Painting (RRP) lead safe rule requires any contractor that will perform work that could disturb more than 6 square feet of paint or window components on pre-1978 housing, to be EPA certified as RRP lead-safe.

  • Phase I environmental evaluations - We routinely provide services to Lenders, Banks, Attorneys, Realtors and other parties when Agreements of Sale require environmental studies. Typically, these reports include a visual inspection of the property, a survey of the adjacent property uses, a historical study of the subject site, and a records search of government documents. Our program provides an environmental screening process to help our customer make a reasonable evaluation of the risks before final action.
